P.E.A.S. Programs:

A majority of the programs we hope to offer are a part of our national SKILLSET (Sustainable Knowledge In Learning Life Skills Educational Training) Initiative. With the SKILLSET Initiative, we aim to mentor youth, young adults, and low-income families to learn various skills to better equip them to fill high demand jobs in an ever-changing society. Below are a few examples of the many programs we will offer.

S.T.E.M.

The S.T.E.M. program will be an introductory course on the many ways that Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are used in everyday life and the many career paths that each have to offer. Participants will learn basic coding skills, PC building, conduct fun experiments, learn to build and how specific tools are used, and real-life applications of math.

Finance:

The Finance program will be a program designed to help both young adults, and impoverished families about the benefits and pitfalls of financial literacy. Participants will learn the basics on credit, various income streams, saving tips, budgeting, and investments.

We aim to do this by: 1. Uplifting and strengthening the bond and unity within our student body and surrounding communities by instilling the Four Sacred Points: Perseverance, Education, Achievement, and Service. 2. Upholding camaraderie, strength and goodwill while instilling our motto “Friendship Among A Unified People”. 3. Encouraging high academic standards set by our university and being the example of the University’s academic standard. 4. Support and encouragement of excellence in the academic and social life of the campus. 5. Respect for and association with and among students without regard to race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. 6. Membership in student social groups should be open to all university students. In the case of fraternities and sororities, such as groups may legally limit their membership to individuals of the same sex. 7. Respect for the individual(s) and his or her rights by support and encouragement of social, ethical values and attitudes which are consistent with ethic tradition from which the organization has developed.

Agriculture:

The Agriculture program will be a year-round program. Participants will learn about seasonal patterns, how to build sustainable gardens, how portion control and proper storage extends the life of perishable items, renewable energy solutions to help curtail adverse weather, and the health properties of various fruits, vegetables, herbs, and plants. Participants who assist in the community garden may also be eligible to receive crops, and even seeds to help provide sustainable food options for impoverished households.

Athletics:

The Athletics program will provide workshops to train youth and young adults on the fundamentals of various sports. Participants will receive mentorship to help them set a sustainable plan of physical conditioning, dietary goals, and mental health check ins to help our youth and young adults to prepare for the sports that they take pride in playing.

P.P.N.J.:

(PEAS Pantry Neighborhood Jawn): Working in tandem with community leaders, this program aims to provide food pantries in safe locations for community members to take what they need and add what they don’t. Various local, national businesses and non-profits will assist us in providing perishable items to replenish these pantries. Participants will assist in keeping track of inventory so that we can keep these pantries supplied with needed perishable items.

The Arts:

The Arts program will provide our youth, young adults, and impoverished families with opportunities to learn various forms of art. Workshops and programs will include various styles of painting, drawing, design, music production, music engineering, graphic design, video production, photography, fashion design, modelling, journalism, and social media branding.
