We are the Siblinghood:

The Brotherhood and Sisterhood (or Siblinghood) of Pi Epsilon Alpha Sigma (or ΠΕΑΣ) PEAS Incorporated in all legal forms, functions, duties, intellectual properties, and privileges will be hereby recognized as Pi Epsilon Alpha Sigma PEAS (or ΠΕΑΣ Inc.) Social Organization Incorporated. No variation or incompletion of this name format will be accepted without express written consent of the National Board of Governors in conjunction with the Council of the Seal. We are governed under the same set of rules and officers, and we operate as a co-ed organization.

The Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Pi Epsilon Alpha Sigma (or ΠΕΑΣ) PEAS Incorporated is constitutionally bound to represent each other’s behalf as a fully co-ed organization. Pi Epsilon Alpha Sigma (or ΠΕΑΣ) PEAS Incorporated is currently not affiliated with any external national organization or council.

Our reason for choosing to be a Siblinghood as opposed to a fraternal or sororal organization has a lot to do with our foundational roots at Cheyney University. The birthplace of all HBCU’s was started with the multicultural efforts of freed slaves, abolitionists, and other benefactors and its continued success is owed to the likes of various leaders in education both male and female.

Seeing the historical examples of the likes of Fanny Jackson-Coppin, Leslie Pinckney-Hill, Wade Wilson, Edith Scott-Bagley, and many others provided our Foundation with the inspiration needed to add value to an illustrious legacy of co-ed excellence. As many a Cheyney student will attest to, the “Wolfpack” is a mentality shared by those with a heart of Service. For our Siblinghood, it’s a reminder that our Four Sacred Principles are as old as the illustrious HBCU we call our birthplace and a shining example of how building an effective “Friendship among a Unified People” positively impacts the community bond.
